A new member of the Supervisory Board of the Energy Efficiency Fund has been appointed

Donors represented in the Supervisory Committee of the Multi-Donor Trust Fund created within the framework of the EE4U1 Program have appointed their new representative as part of the Supervisory Board of the Energy Efficiency Fund.

Rolf Behrndt became a new member of the Supervisory Board of the Energy Efficiency Fund from international donors. He replaced Laura Garbenciute-Bakiene in this position.

From 1987, Rolf Behrndt held senior positions at GOPA Consultants (Germany), ICON-Institut (Germany), the World Bank Group / International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group / IFC), until December 2023 he headed the Office of Hydrogen Diplomacy in Kyiv of the Germany agency for international cooperation (GiZ).

Mr. Rolf graduated from the Technical University of Darmstadt (Germany) majoring in “International Banking, Industrial Policy and Programs, Development Economics, Mechanical Engineering” and got a master’s degree. Besides, he completed a postgraduate course in Development Economics researching technology absorption and transfer in the metalworking sectors at the Indian Institute of Technology (Madras, India) and the German Development Institute (West Berlin, Germany).

For reference. The Supervisory Board is the highest governing body of the State Institution “Energy Efficiency Fund”. The Supervisory Board protects the rights of the founder, lenders, donors and ultimate beneficiaries of the Fund, ensures the fulfillment of the EEF’s goals and supervises the management of the EEF.

The Supervisory Board of the Energy Efficiency Fund consists of two representatives of the Government, two independent members and one representative of international donors.
