The Energy Efficiency Fund under martial law in Ukraine continues to fulfill its commitments and provide support to co-owners. In particular, in March, the Fund has reimbursed co-owners about UAH 20 million under the Energodim program.
This was announced by Vasyl Lozynskyi, First Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine during an online meeting with representatives of the city councils, which took place on March 31.
According to him, the Fund has enough funds to fulfill its commitments to co-owners and all projects in progress will be funded.
“We are ready to reimburse citizens for energy efficiency measures. It is not only about the work done, but also about the development of project documentation and energy audit. Therefore, the funds in the Fund’s accounts are enough to cover these costs, ” said the First Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
In turn, present at the event Yegor Fareniuk, director of the Energy Efficiency Fund said that now there are a large quantity of co-owners, especially from the western regions, which are ready to move to the stage of project implementation.
“Currently, we have 330 co-owners participating in the program, which have already developed design and estimate documentation, of which 140 co-owners are at the stage of construction and installation work,” said Yegor Fareniuk.
The Fund’s program supports the economic development of regions outside the war zone, as well as the construction sector, whose development has slowed due to the war, as there are currently problems with the production and supply of materials.
“We are currently negotiating with companies producing construction materials to supply their systems and equipment with deferred payment for co-owners,” said the director of the Fund.
He also added that after winning the war, the Fund plans to take an active part in the process of rebuilding Ukraine’s housing stock, which has suffered extensive damage due to shelling and bombing of cities by russian occupiers.
“We are currently consulting with donors and the government on the direct support / funding of the Fund for the restoration of damaged housing, the relevant concept of the new Program is being developed,” – said the director of the Fund.
