More Than 300 Buildings Restored under the VidnovyDIM Programme in Mykolaiv Region

Mykolaiv region is one of the regions of Ukraine that continues to come under Russian attacks involving strike drones, missiles and artillery. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, extensive damage to the region’s housing stock has been recorded. Despite the challenges of wartime, residents of Mykolaiv region are rebuilding their homes, including with support from the Energy Efficiency Fund’s VidnovyDIM Programme.

Since the launch of the Programme, homeowners associations (HOAs) in Mykolaiv region have submitted 303 applications for the restoration of damaged multi-apartment buildings. All projects have now been fully or partially implemented: 264 have been completed, while another 39 have been partially completed.

The total cost of projects implemented under the VidnovyDIM Programme in Mykolaiv and Mykolaiv region amounts to UAH 754.5 million. Of this amount, the Energy Efficiency Fund has already disbursed UAH 576.5 million in grant support. More than 30,500 households in the region have had the opportunity to restore their homes through participation in the Programme.

Behind each of these figures are restored homes and the opportunity for people to remain in their own homes. The implementation of these projects helps prepare buildings for the winter season, restore their functionality and prevent further deterioration.

The most common works carried out by homeowners associations (HOAs) under the Programme include replacing damaged windows and other transparent building envelope structures, as well as external doors and internal vestibule doors; repairing façades and roofs; restoring damaged engineering systems in multi-apartment buildings; and installing individual heating substations.
