Energy Efficiency Fund increases its statutory capital by UAH 2.8 billion

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allocated UAH 100 million from the state budget to increase the statutory capital of the Energy Efficiency Fund and thus increased it to more than UAH 2.8 billion.

The relevant decision was made today at the Government’s session.

These funds will be used to finance energy efficient projects in multifamily buildings in the framework of the Energodim program.

According to Vasyl Lozynskyi, the First Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, this decision will be a positive sign for European partners, as it will confirm one more time that Ukraine complies with the commitments.

The projects financed with these funds will allow to significantly reduce the expenses of residents for housing and communal services. So as the average amount of energy savings after the implementation of complex projects of the Energy Efficiency Fund makes over 30%,” added Vasyl Lozynskyi.

It should be reminded, the draft State Budget of Ukraine for 2022 envisages UAH 2,6 billion for the Energy Efficiency Fund.

For reference. The Energy Efficiency Fund is a state institution established by the Government of Ukraine to implement instruments to stimulate and support the implementation of energy efficiency measures at the multifamily buildings.

Since 2019, the Fund implements the Energodim program that allows co-owners to receive the reimbursement up to 70% of the costs for energy modernization of multifamily buildings.
