The Energy Efficiency Fund signed an agreement with MTB Bank, which opens up new prospects for HOAs. According to the terms of the agreement, the bank will provide loans for the modernization of residential buildings under the EEF’s programs.
“The partnership between the Energy Efficiency Fund and MTB Bank is a vivid example of the social responsibility of businesses in wartime conditions,” says Yehor Fareniuk, CEO of the Energy Efficiency Fund. “Creating credit conditions for HOAs within the framework of the EEF’s programs is not just financial support but an investment in the future of Ukraine because lending from MTB Bank has become the financial lever that allows HOAs not to delay modernization but to actively prepare for winter. Thanks to joint efforts, we are bringing Ukraine closer to energy independence, creating comfortable and economically beneficial conditions for the life of co-owners of buildings.”
“We are glad to join such an important cause as increasing the energy efficiency of housing and, in general, the decentralization of energy services,” emphasizes Yurii Kralov, Chairman of the Management Board of MTB Bank. “In the current conditions, providing the population with individual energy equipment, especially one that does not depend on fossil resources and provides quick self-sufficiency, is an excellent initiative. We really want and will help people so that they have the opportunity to live in a bright and warm home, and that it does not require extra resources. We need to build a new country together, on new technological foundations in all areas, and I consider this step – joining the EEF’s programs – timely and cost-effective for everyone.”
From now on, HOAs that participate in the programs of the Energy Efficiency Fund can receive a loan from MTB Bank at 7% per annum. For details on lending, contact the nearest branch of MTB Bank.

SI “Energy Efficiency Fund” is the only state institution in Ukraine created by the government to stimulate and support measures to increase the level of energy efficiency of buildings and energy saving, in particular in the housing sector.
Currently, the Energy Efficiency Fund implements three initiatives. In 2019, the EEF launched the “ENERGODIM” Program, the main goal of which is to implement energy-efficient measures in apartment buildings. HOAs participating in it receive from the EEF up to 70% compensation of the cost of projects (under the simplified package “A” — 60%). From November 2022, the EEF launched the “VidnovyDIM” Program, the participants of which receive 100% compensation for the restoration of houses damaged as a result of hostilities. In May 2024, the EEF launched another “GreenDIM” Program, which will stimulate the introduction of renewable energy sources in Ukraine.
The “GreenDIM” Program provides grants at the level of 70% of the total cost of equipment, in particular, for the installation of solar power plants and heat pumps, as well as for conducting an energy audit and certification of the energy efficiency of the building.
As of the end of August, about 135,000 households became participants in the EEF’s programs (over 65,000 – “ENERGODIM”, over 64,000 – “VidnovyDIM”, over 4,000 – “GreenDIM”). The EEF compensated HOAs with more than UAH 2.3 billion (“ENERGODIM” — UAH 1.5 billion, “VidnovyDIM” — more than UAH 830 million). The “ENERGODIM” Program includes 383 fully or partially completed projects, under the “VidnovyDIM” Program there are already 584 such projects.
