Oleksandr Butenko, Deputy Minister for the Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, became a new member of the Supervisory Board of the Energy Efficiency Fund from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The Cabinet of Ministers signed the relevant order on March 21, 2023.
In the Government, Oleksandr Butenko, in particular, coordinates the implementation of tasks and functions of the Ministry for the formation and implementation of state policy in the areas of housing and communal services, household waste management, and ensuring the energy efficiency of buildings.
Oleksandr Butenko graduated from the Law Faculty of the National Academy of Internal Affairs, received a master’s degree in financial markets from the Ukrainian Institute of Stock Market Development of V. Hetman Kyiv National University of Economics, as well as a master’s degree in economics from Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas. He worked as an assistant to the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, deputy director for work with counterparties of the subsidiary company “Gas of Ukraine” of Naftogaz of Ukraine, in the structures of Naftogaz of Ukraine. He is a member of the National Association of Lawyers of Ukraine.
The Supervisory Board is the highest management body of the Energy Efficiency Fund. It protects the rights of the founder, creditors, donors and ultimate beneficiaries of the Fund, ensures the fulfillment of the institution’s goals and supervises its management. The Supervisory Board of the Energy Efficiency Fund consists of two representatives of the Government, two independent members and one representative of international donors. Members of the Supervisory Board are elected for a five-year term.
We would like to remind that in February, the Supervisory Board approved changes to the Fund’s programs.
