Modernized houses under the Energodim program were presented at the XII All-Ukrainian HOAS Forum in Lviv

On October 28-29, Lviv hosted the XII All-Ukrainian HOAS Forum, organized by the City Institute, which became a platform for 15 panel discussions with the participation of 40 speakers in the field of energy efficiency and housing and communal services.

The event was attended by representatives of the City Institute, Lviv City Council, Energy Efficiency Fund, GIZ Ukraine, IFC, KredoBank, the Institute of Municipal Management and other experts in the field of energy efficiency and housing.

Julia Sabatiuk, head of Supervisory Board of the Energy Efficiency Fund took part in a panel discussion organized by GIZ, with the support of which a pilot project on energy efficient renovation of buildings in the Sykhiv district is being implemented in Lviv. She told the audience about the possibilities and benefits of the Energodim program.

The Energodim program has an effective mechanism for implementing energy efficiency measures. Today we have 808 projects, 26 – fully verified, 641 projects – in progress, “- said Julia Sabatiuk.

She also presented completed projects in high-rise buildings under the Energodim program, including HOAS “Konyakina 29” in Lutsk, “Lypy 4” in Novoyavorivsk, “Govorova 5″ in Odessa,”Schurata-8” in Lviv, “Antonycha 26 ”in Lviv and others.

Currently, 74 houses have been partially or completely modernized under the Energodim program. The cost of completed projects is UAH 87 million, the grant is UAH 60 million, the participants are over 2,000 households, which, according to energy auditors, will save a total of UAH 13.2 million/year and 10 million kWh/year.

The Energodim program is not simple, but it is correct. I do my best to make the procedures simple and easy. I believe that all condominiums will be able to learn how to draw up documents correctly, ”said the head of Supervisory Board of the EEFund.

She also added that condominiums from all over the country are waiting for an additional grant in order to continue applying to the Fund and receive an increased amount of compensation.

I will ask that the EU government, the German government, our government be asked to negotiate and the additional grant be extended for further associations of co-owners,” – Julia Sabatiuk concluded.

During the forum, the chairmen of condominiums from Chortkiv and Pryluky shared their own successful cases of energy modernization of housing under the Energodim program and the results of energy savings and funds for utilities.

The participants also discussed current changes in the legislation in the field of housing and communal services in Ukraine, current trends in housing management, the role of associations in the development of the market management and energy modernization of the housing sector, and analyzed problems and challenges in housing and communal services.

On the second day of the Forum, participants discussed ways to achieve climate neutrality, technical aspects of implementing energy efficiency measures in the house, as well as key stages of thermal modernization of housing, from the idea to the end of the project.

As reported, on October 21, the online seminar of the EU project discussed the role of condominiums in large-scale thermal modernization of buildings and attracting investment in housing.
