The team of the Energy Efficiency Fund took part in the events held within the framework of the Aquatherm Kyiv exhibition. In particular, on May 14, during the Forum-workshop “Reconstruction in action: Engineering and technical solutions for the development of housing and utility services”, a separate section was held devoted to issues of energy efficiency and alternative power sources in the housing sector. And on May 15, the technical community of the EEF Marketplace was presented with the workshop “Install yourself! How an installer can promote his services in the updated engineering market.”
Yehor Fareniuk, CEO of the Energy Efficiency Fund, spoke about the state of implementation of the multi-apartment building energy modernization support Program “ENERGODIM” and presented the new EEF’s Program “GreenDIM” aimed at stimulating the use of alternative energy sources in the housing sector.
“Currently, the issue of efficient use of energy and the availability of alternative energy sources is a necessity and safety,” said Yehor Fareniuk. — russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine leads to devastating destruction throughout the territory of our country, and the aggressor continues to destroy critical infrastructure facilities. In the winter of 2022, we all already felt what blackouts were, and now the probability of such situations occurring is very high. Therefore, we should all be prepared for the difficulties associated with the lack of electricity and take measures to minimize them. This is what the new Program “GreenDIM” is aimed at, while the “ENERGODIM” Program provides an opportunity to significantly reduce energy consumption in the house, which accordingly reduces the financial burden on people”.
According to the CEO of the Energy Efficiency Fund, despite the challenges of the war, people continue to implement energy-efficient measures in their houses under the “ENERGODIM” Program, and today more than 360 projects have been fully or partially implemented.
“The ‘ENERGODIM’ Program is working, those HOAs that became participants in the Program before the war are actively implementing their projects,” said Yehor Fareniuk. — Since the summer of last year, the EEF has been accepting applications for a super-light package, which includes only one mandatory measure — the installation or modernization of an individual heating plant. It is the main tool for regulation and heat consumption for the whole house. With the help of individual heating station, the distribution of the heat transfer medium is rationalized and the overall efficiency of the heat supply system is increased. Only one such measure can provide from 10 to 30% of heat savings.”
At the same time, Yehor Fareniuk presented the main provisions of the new “GreenDIM” program, which was launched by the Fund in early May.
“Under the ‘GrennDIM’ Program, the Fund provides financing for HOAs and housing cooperatives to reimburse 70% of the cost of equipment and materials — heat pumps and solar power plants, as well as the cost of house energy efficiency certification services,” said the Director of the Energy Efficiency Fund.
Representatives of the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine spoke about energy efficiency as a national idea, talked about local energy planning and presented the national database of energy and operational characteristics of buildings.
During the event, Halyna Dzhulai, the first deputy mayor of Novoyavorivsk, shared the successful experience of the Novoyavorivsk community regarding regional support of HOAs for complex energy modernization of high-rise buildings under the “ENERGODIM” Program.
Sviatoslav Pavliuk, executive director of the Association “Energy-Efficient Cities of Ukraine”, shared practical cases of how to increase energy efficiency.
Mykola Bumazhnyi, general director of the holding “City for People”, spoke about the importance of the synergy of the efforts of co-owners, the state and businesses for the development of the housing stock.
Taras Oboronov, Head of the Department of Customer Support and Project Support of the Energy Efficiency Fund, during the presentation of the Energy Efficiency Fund Marketplace, noted that this platform has already become a reliable tool for participants in the EEF’s programs as it forms transparent communication between all market participants, and as a result, contributes to the fastest possible modernization of the country.
“A user-friendly platform helps to quickly implement energy-efficient and reconstruction projects,” said Taras Oboronov. — On the web-site, HOA representatives can find everything they need to implement their ideas, from qualified specialists to quality materials, and businesses can find another sales channel for their products and services.” He also noted that the Marketplace of the Energy Efficiency Fund will become an indispensable tool for everyone who wants to make their homes more energy efficient, comfortable and safe.
