The Energy Efficiency Fund presented the “GreenDIM” Program at the Kyiv Forum of HOAs

The Energy Efficiency Fund participates in the Kyiv Forum of HOAs, which takes place in the capital on May 17-18. The CEO of the Energy Efficiency Fund, Yehor Fareniuk, presented the main provisions of the “GreenDIM” Program at the event, and during the first working day of the Forum, the EEF’s specialists provided the participants with advice on participating in the EEF’s programs.

“Since May 7, the Energy Efficiency Fund has launched the pilot stage of the “GreenDIM” Program, under which HOAs and housing cooperatives can receive financing for reimbursement of 70% of the cost of equipment and materials such as heat pumps and solar power plants, as well as the cost of house energy efficiency certification services,” said Yehor Fareniuk during the speech. — This is a relatively simple Program, its main contents are the technical requirements for the house and the equipment that can be used. This is very important for performance.”

The head of the institution explained that in the case of installing a solar power plant on the roof of a building, it is necessary, first of all, to check the reliability of the roof on which the equipment is planned to be installed. The roof covering must not contain asbestos-containing materials. For a house with centralized heating, an individual heating plant must be installed. A solar power plant should consist of solar electric panels, a hybrid inverter, and batteries.

In the case of installing a heat pump for heating, the house must have continuous thermal insulation of the facades. It is mandatory to have a modernized heating plant (or general house boiler room) with an automation system, heat-insulated internal networks of the heating system and the presence of a hydraulically balanced general house heating system.

In the case of installing a heat pump for hot water supply, it is required to have a modernized heat plant (or general house boiler room) with a system for automating the preparation of hot water supply and thermal insulation of domestic hot water supply networks.

“In the process of implementing this Program, the synergy of efforts is very important,” said Yehor Fareniuk. — In this case, the EEF reimburses 70, not 100% of the cost of equipment and materials, and there are other items of expenses, such as the development of design and estimate documentation, installation, and so on. That’s why support from local authorities is also important here, because without such support, it will be difficult for the majority of HOAs and housing cooperatives under the current conditions to implement such measures.”

Also, the CEO of the Energy Efficiency Fund reminded that it is now possible to apply for participation in the “ENERGODIM” Program under the simplified “A” Package.

“Using the simplified “A” package of the “ENERGODIM” Program, HOAs can achieve energy savings of up to 30%, Yehor Fareniuk said. — The only mandatory measure of this package is the installation of an individual heat plant; optionally, such measures as balancing of the centralized heating system, replacement of windows and doors in common areas and thermal insulation of pipelines can be performed. Now we are waiting for a decision from our donors, which provides for the possibility of compensating HOAs under this package not 40%, as now, but 60%. Therefore, I invite you to participate in this Program as well.”
