In Vilnius, the Energy Efficiency Fund of Ukraine and the Environmental Project Management Agency (APVA) under the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The document was signed by Yehor Fareniuk, CEO of the EEF and Gvidas Dargužas, Head of the Agency.
This event marks an important step in strengthening Ukrainian-Lithuanian cooperation in the fields of energy efficiency, sustainable development, and ecological modernization of the housing stock.

“This partnership is especially significant for us, as the Ukraine Energy Efficiency Fund was modeled on the Lithuanian institution. Today, we have a great opportunity not only to learn from their experience but also to share our own”, – emphasized Mr. Fareniuk.
The parties agreed to develop a long-term partnership focused on sharing experience and best practices in managing energy efficiency and climate projects, digitalizing processes and creating modern databases for program management, as well as enhancing institutional capacity and developing expert potential in sustainable development.

During the meeting, representatives of the EEF highly appreciated the level of digitalization in Lithuanian projects and agreed to adopt this experience to improve Ukrainian programs. The parties also discussed plans to implement a joint pilot project in a Ukrainian city and to seek international financing for its implementation.
In addition, Yehor Fareniuk invited the Lithuanian partners to participate in the All-Ukrainian HOA Forum, scheduled for November in Lviv. “We value the support of our Lithuanian colleagues and are confident that exchanging experience will help both institutions implement modern solutions for sustainable urban development more effectively”, – the EEF’s CEO noted.
