The Energy Efficiency Fund and Sense Bank join forces for energy modernization of residential buildings

Sense Bank became the seventh partner bank of the Energy Efficiency Fund in the implementation of large-scale projects for the comprehensive modernization of housing for Ukrainians.

On October 2, the relevant agreement was signed by Yehor Fareniuk, CEO of the Energy Efficiency Fund, and Andrii Sokolov, Sense Bank Board Member. This partnership opens up new opportunities for HOAs looking to improve the energy efficiency of their buildings, including installing solar power plants and heat pumps.

“We are happy to expand the network of our partner banks and offer HOAs even more opportunities for financing energy-efficient projects,” comments Yehor Fareniuk, CEO of the Energy Efficiency Fund. — Sense Bank was one of the first state-owned banks to express its desire to work with HOAs under the “GreenDIM” Program, as it sees significant potential in this market segment. Therefore, now the Energy Efficiency Fund is confidently involving Sense Bank in cooperation. We are convinced that the development of partnership relations between institutions will contribute to the high-quality implementation of the “GreenDIM” Program.

The partner bank of the Energy Efficiency Fund performs the function of a “single window” for communicating with beneficiaries, opening accounts for further receiving a grant from the EEF, and also provides the opportunity to obtain credit for HOAs participating in the “GreenDIM” Program.

“Contributing to the development of a strong energy system of the country is one of the priority tasks of Sense Bank as a state bank, and cooperation with the EEF will certainly strengthen our activities in this direction. Thanks to the partnership, even more HOAs will have the opportunity to implement renewable energy sources and become energy-independent,” comments Andrii Sokolov, Board Member of Sense Bank.

The Energy Efficiency Fund selects banks for partnership, evaluating the level of transparency of the institution’s activities and indicators of economic efficiency. An important factor in choosing a bank for cooperation is the responsibility of conducting communication and the freedom of choice of the ultimate beneficiary of the partner bank.
